Maintaining a slender, fit body is the much-coveted desire of a majority of the people. 3. Whole grains – On top of helping with balancing blood sugar levels, preferably 100% whole grain foods are an essential addition to your diet if you’re aiming to lose or maintain weight. Cooking grains with milk, while maybe adding a negligible amount of calories, can make an easy, healthy and yet tasty treat. Whole grains that haven’t gone through processing and are non-refined will be more effective in your weight-loss crusade than their counterpart. Whole grains such as brown rice, whole oats, unhulled barley, and buckwheat are filling food and recommended sources of carbohydrate.

4. Lean meat – You love meat, but you want to lose weight. Don’t worry! Lean meat is sources of protein and abundance of nutrients without adding a significant amount of fat. Fish is always the best source of protein with a good source of fat. One of the leanest sources of protein is found in salmon.
