The nutrient loaded pomegranate is unparalleled to any other fruit. The red round shaped fruit contains edible seeded berries inside known as arils. The skin is thick and leathery, a unique in the world of fruits. Pomegranate is scientifically known as Punica granatum, belonging to the Lythraceae family. This deciduous fruit originated in Persia and sub- Sahara Himalayan regions. The fruit is a berry mostly with seed but some have soft seed. The fruit can be cracked and split the skin with your or knife. The seed inside the fruit is held together by white, soft membrane. The juice can be extracted with a hand blender.

Pomegranate is just good with the seed as soon as you take out the outer skin. But a glass of this juice is really soothing. Here is how you can make:

  1. Take out the seed and put in a blender.
  2. Blend a few times and let the juice come out.
  3. Strain the juice into a jar with a mesh strainer
  4. Place crushed ice and drink
  5. You can also keep some whole seeds to give a crunchy, juicy taste.
